Headquartered in the Southern California (La Quinta, CA), A Proper Sendoff serves those in need throughout the entire West Coast. Founder Steve Catt has been practicing for over a decade and have presided over more than 150 services. Our team is experienced, kind, detail oriented and most important shares a passion for this ministry. Our mission is to provide the service YOU WANT, be it faith based or non-religious, solemn or light hearted, participatory or not. Our philosophy is the service is as much about the living as it is about the one being honored.

FOUNDER

Steve Catt is a Certified Catholic Lay Bereavement Minister and End of Life Celebrant for over ten years. Steve has presided over more than one hundred and fifty services, ranging from Catholic graveside interments, vigils and rosaries to Christian, Jewish and secular funerals, memorial services and celebrations of life. Whatever the circumstances, Steve approaches each event with empathy, compassion and a great sense of passion while taking the time to personalize each service to the wishes of the family and/or friends of the loved one.

Married to the love of his life Amy since 1984, Steve lives in La Quinta California and has two grown children living in London and Washington DC. Along with focusing his attention on being a celebrant, Steve is also a successful technology sales professional/entrepreneur who has founded two companies and mentored many others. Steve is an avid tennis player and a passionate follower of USC Athletics and his beloved Indianapolis Colts.
